I Heart Markets
For those of you that are in Durban this weekend, you would do well to trundle along to the St Mary’s hall in Greyville, where a wonderful little market opens on 3 (YES! 3!) Saturdays this month, the 4th, 11th, and the 18th December 2010. It’s the “I Heart Market” and you have already missed one, last weekend, but don’t despair, there are still 2 (TWO) more that you can use as last minute shopping sprees for all those hard-to-buy-for people in your life, you know, we all have them. Aunt Lucy that stuffs her dead cats or Cousin Albert whose gall stone collection is taking over the house . Yeah…
Run by lovely Durbanite Ladies, Anna and Saki, they have been blogging since July 2009 and organising the “I Heart Market” since December 2008. Originally held on the pavement outside Beanbag Bohemia, they now moved into St Mary’s Church hall, right next door.
Not only do they feature wonderfully hand and home-made products, the re-purposed and the second hand, but they also have delightful locally sourced fresh veggies, local designers, kiddies stuff, homeware, art, ceramics and jewellery! So they will surely have something for everyone.
If you don’t find any pressies, you will definitely find something for yourself, a win either way we think!
